This week both of my kids started soccer.
Aren’t we still in hockey? No wonder no one was at the rink last weekend?
Kurt my 4 year old scored two goals the first night,,,if you can really call them that, especially when the goalie was busy chasing butterflies.
He made sure everyone got a high five.
Alicia at 9, is coming back after a year hiatus.
She loves hockey more than soccer.
Reason? More equipment. She hates getting hoofed in the shins.
Yes she has guards.
Either way it’s great to be out on the sidelines again in the folding chairs, trying not to play with your smart phone, while your kids chase around a ball like a pack of dogs in a leash free park..
But shouldn’t soccer wait until after the playoffs are over?
…and raking, mowing lawns, and planting gardens for that matter.
