Stadium? Or Will a Monkey Fly Out of My Butt???

I still can’t believe that unless there is a miracle, there is more of a chance a monkey will fly out of my butt than Hamilton will get a new stadium.

Regardless of which side of the stadium debate you are on, it is very sad that what started as a celebration with a government money windfall has turned into yet another lost opportunity for Hamilton.

For what? More of the same excuses?

One thing is clear.
Our elected officials when given the challenge again fell short, not only embarrassing the city nationwide but losing millions in government funding.

Is there anyone out there that does not think this is a crime?
Is there anyone out there who knows anything about business who doesn’t think putting one dollar in to get two dollars back is a great investment in our future?

Yes even if you have to borrow to get that dollar.
Millions do it every year to top up their RRSP.

But here in Hamilton you‘ll need a union leader and committee to review that, before turning it down, because big business is bad.

Too bad Hamilton has that chip on its shoulder, as the opportunities go to those around us.

Sign the petition on the blog and send the message, you’ve had enough of organized mediocrity.

I’m Scott Thompson.

Sam Merulla and Chad Collins should think about what the majority of people in this city want. In particular, our Tiger Cats and our stadium.Confederation Park would bring much revenue to the East end of the city which is badly needed.Perhaps these two politicians should realize that the people who voted them in can also vote them out!! And if we lose this, Sam Merulla will never get another vote from me and I don't care who's running.

I've been living here for 18 years now. Things keep going like this, and I plan to get the heck out of this city in the next couple of years. I'm embarrassed, disappointed and disgusted in how city council runs (or should I say doesn't run) Hamilton. We are officially and once again (deservedly I might add) the laughing stock across the country. This city obviously wants to remain poor and small time and is proving to be really good at that. It's no wonder we can't attract any big b...

Enough about Me. What about you???

The great thing about blogging is it gives me the opportunity to interact with people one on one while the rest watch.  It seems people have more to say when you can't see them.  I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

This blog will cover everything from everyday life to world issues.  From NASCAR to politics.  However we ain't splitting the atom here.  The most important thing is hearing from YOU!
