More bonuses in public sector

The Canadian Press reported yesterday:
About 98 per cent of eligible managers in the Ontario
Public Service received bonuses last year, despite assurances from
the cash-strapped government that it's serious about freezing pay in
the broader public sector.

That’s thousands of employees.

After you finish blowing your gasket and your face returns to a whiter shade of pale, think about this.
You only have to look to the left or right to find somebody who has been down sized in some way.

Pay freezes, pay cuts, longer hours, more work, that is if you’re lucky enough to have work at all.
If the Ontario government is going to keep jacking up our electricity rates, taxes or wasting our money on fiascos like eHealth and power plants; they’re going to have to be more accountable than that.

Ontario is broke. We need a new model, not just a band aid.

But you’ll have to get involved and vote to fix it.
Or better yet, run!

I’m Scott Thompson.

Enough about Me. What about you???

The great thing about blogging is it gives me the opportunity to interact with people one on one while the rest watch.  It seems people have more to say when you can't see them.  I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

This blog will cover everything from everyday life to world issues.  From NASCAR to politics.  However we ain't splitting the atom here.  The most important thing is hearing from YOU!
