Today is Friday the 13th and for those in this part of the world that means a little more than black cats and broken mirrors.
It is every Friday the 13th all those on two wheels head to Pt. Dover to ,,,, hang.
It was a tradition that started in the early 80’s when bikers looked a little different then what they do now.
How often have you heard that loud rumble coming up behind you being lead by a guy in a bandana and sleeveless shirt that says ‘loud pipes save lives’?
When you dare look over the Eric Von Zipper in the leather has whiter hair than your grand dad.
I had the same thing happen recently coming up on a gang of Harley’s riding two by two, 4 deep down the highway, complete with a 3 wheeler holding down the rear.
You’d swear it was scene out of Easy Rider except they all had blue hair and we’re driving 10 k under the limit with their left blinker on.
Imagine how odd it felt when after 20 minutes I finally I had to pull out and pass them, in the mini van!
Proving once again you could have been ‘born to be wild’ in any decade!
